I should be getting in my live edit board and when i do i will install my 96lb injectors and up the boost.  14psi to start but, i will probably keep increasing it until i get to 20psi or so.  I need a clutch and a new turbo though before i do all that stuff.  This turbo is on its way out because when i blew an IC pipe the turbo must have over revved because a couple of the turbine fans hit the housing.  So i need to get another ebay h1c for parts.

I'm taking a break from working on cars for a little bit and working on my super motor project.  Yz125 with a kz550 street bike engine  Afro

well as far as the turbo "over revving" .... that is not the case because when the coupler blows off.. all boost is lost and the turbo slows down. however what could have happened is... particles could have gotten into your compressor and or the turbo just became unbalanced and smacked against the housing causing damage.

I dont think any particles got into the compressor because the intake was still on so filtered air was going in.  I blew a cold pipe coupler and the way my IC piping is layed out it had no where to go.  So when i wasn't in boost it would stay in the coupler and run fine but, when i hit boost the coupler would expand (clamp fell down the pipe) and all the air would blow by the coupler causing a huge leak.  I was hitting 6psi on a 9lb spring.....the waste gate never had to open....that is all the turbo could build with that huge leak.  Its only balanced for so much rpm and when you go past that it will start to vibrate.  3 of my turbine blades hit the housing so now, i'm just going to run it till she lets go.  I asked the local turbo diesel shop if that is what caused the problem and they said that would most likely be what cause its demise.

Live edit board is on its way  Grin
