I've got a very weird oil leak coming from the sensor bracket next to the oil feed on top of my HE351.  Is there an O ring or some other type of gasket that can be had from either holset or dodge, or would I need to fab up my own?  The oil leaking from there is pretty substantial.  I'm a little leery on unbolting it, as this is my DD.  Would it be safe to unbolt this and use some sort of block off plate?

Thanks for any replies Smiley

Here's a shot of the oil leak in question.  It's not coming from the oil feed

How is the oil drain setup?

free and clear, no kinks

The VGT is welded stationary and this has hindered oil flow through the turbo a bit.  But now that I have my DD, I'm going to unbolt that section and see if there is a seal I can replace.

Seems as though that the magnetic pickup or whatever that is (turbine shaft is notched under the sensor) has an O ring and one side was flattened causing the leak.  I siliconed it up and hopefully no more leaks.

I want to get rid of this turbo

I've done some "mods" to it...lol

I really want a HE351cw or HX35 with the 9cm^2 housing.  I love the turbo, just not the 40lbs of cast iron that comes with it.

Yeah...from last December.  I actually think SiFlyby is a member of mx6.com

Also wanted to know, say if I swap out for a 351cw, will the exhaust line up?

I pm-d SiFlyby and he said he sold all of his HX35s.

As far as the exhaust lining up with the 351cw it all depends on the turbine clocking and if you were using the 4" v-band type elbow that cam with the he351ve.
